This article is about power. Merriam-Webster dictionary defines power:
Power \ n 1: the ability to act or produce an effect 2: a position of ascendancy over others: Authority 3: one that has control or authority; esp: a sovereign state 4: physical might
The current reign of White supremacist, capitalist, imperialist, patriarchy is a system architected on the hierarchical dominance of one essential being: the white man.
The white man represents the primary actor of this constructed racial and gender hierarchy, one balanced on a fulcrum that shifts the weight of its dehumanization and violence on a very specific class of people: Black Peoples.
I have been studying trending news diligently: the dealings of the current Western regime, built on the suffering and genocide of all those who pose a threat to this hegemonic dominion and I have learned that Black men, women, and children face the worst of it.
I argue in this article that this on-going period of colonial rule may only be corrected when all people stand in the face of moments of inequities, personal and structural, and when all people divest from the methods that seek to destroy the rights and existence of Black people. When all have invested in Black liberation, we will be free.
On why power is ineffective unless it is being re-distributed downstream the constructed hierarchy: Power that is used to serve the interests of White supremacist, capitalist, imperialist, patriarchy, essentially, serves the destruction of all those who are not white men. All people invested in this system, monetarily and otherwise, are invested in their own personal destruction and degradation.
